Useful info when traveling to Croatia
In Croatia Elecricity is supplied at 220V, 50Mz. For some devices from countries abroad converters will be needed.
*UK participants will need to use an adopter for European electricity grid.
*US participants will need to use a transformer and an adopter for European electricity grid.

Neither the Organizers nor the PCO accept any liability for damages and/or losses of any kind which may be incurred by the Meeting participants or by any persons accompanying them, both during the official activities and excursions. Delegates participate in all tours/events at his/her own risk. Participants are advised to take out insurances against loss, accidents or damage that could be incurred during the Meeting. Verbal agreements will not be binding unless they are confirmed in writing. Sole place of jurisdiction is Dubrovnik, Croatia. Croatian law is applicable.
Internet connections are available in all hotel via wireless - please contact the reception desk of the hotel for Internet access upon arrival.
All participants will have access to complementary Wi-Fi in the Symposium area. Access information will be provided at onsite registration.
LOST AND FOUND
Please hand in all found items and ask for lost items at the registration desk at the ground floor.
All meeting rooms for the Meeting are located in the hotel Academia at ground floor.
MOBILE PHONES / AUDIO & VIDEO
Use of mobile phones as well as audio & video recording is strictly prohibited within the scientific session rooms. Please ensure you have your mobile phone swithed off when attending a session.
The ICDRG Symposium is a non smoking event.
CURENCY & EXCHANGE
The basic Croatian currency unit is the kuna, made up of 100 lipa. Foreign currency can be exchanged for local money at banks, post offices, hotel's receptions and exchange offices, according to the valid rates of exchange. Visit the exchange office on the Web for valid exchange rates.
All major credit cards are normally accepted throughout Croatia, as advertised at points of sale, such as: American Express, Diners Club, Euro Card/Master Card, Visa, JCB, and Eurocheques. Traveler’s Cheques are also accepted.

CLIMATE & CLOTHING
The climate of Zagreb is classified as an oceanic climate (Cfb in Köppen climate classification system), near the boundary of the humid continental climate. Zagreb has four separate seasons. The average air temperature during the day in March is around 12°C, while evening temperatures generally drop to around 3°C.

Banks and post offices are normally open from 7:00 or 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. Non-Governmental offices work from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Most grocery stores and department stores are open non-stop, from 6 or 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 or 8:00 p.m.
Foreigners (non EU visitors) can claim a sales tax refund within one year for purchased goods. Don’t forget to ask the salesman to fill out the tax refund form when purchasing goods.
